Chemo and radiation
The chemo started on June 15th without any problems so far. The radiation started on June 16th with a headache the first day and then nausea on the 17th. Ferrell took Zofran for it and it eased up. Pretty certain nausea is from radiation which doctors told us to expect. The daily trip into NYC isn't Ferrell's favorite thing but he know it is necessary. Everyone is very nice at NYP Hospital. The kind of radiation he is getting is called IMRT(a stereotactic radiation). The machine they use is the only one in this part of the country. There aren't many of them in the whole world. We have been very blessed that we are able to come to where the best treatment is for this cancer. Thank goodness for great family and insurance! Ferrell told me today that he holds onto the radiation handle thingys and pushes them like a video game and images killing the cancer cells. They are dying! I will update with the 3rd and final seizure episode sometime very soon. I haven't really wanted to think about that lately but will in the next couple days. Doralyn

Thanks for the update. It's good to know the side effects are minimal and easily controlled. xoxo
